Review of Juni by Xango soap and Tropical Traditions moisturizing lotion
I’ve got a couple of reviews for you today! The companies are unrelated but seeing as they are both skin care products, I figured I’d write about them both in the same blog post.
Juni by Xango 
This soap is marketed as a vegan gentle body bar. It has a very light, pleasant scent, and it is positively delicious on the skin. I’ve had vegan soap bars before where they hurt because there was too much seeds and such to exfoliate, but this bar is smooth and soft. I like it!
As far as ingredients go, they all seem to be pretty good to me. There is lavender oil and orange oil and a variety of other fruity oils, which might be part of its zen-like affect. I was surprised when I looked at the ingredient list to see glycerin on there, because I had assumed that glycerin was an animal-based product. It turns out that glycerin can be animal, vegetable or synthetic! Who knew?
If you’re looking for a vegan gentle soap that smells great, Juni is the soap for you!
Tropical Traditions Moisturizing Lotion
Most of the products by Tropical Traditions are things that I truly love. The dish liquid. The coconut oil. The coconut flour. The greens powder. The household cleaner. I could go on and on. They’re a great company and their products rock!
…but I have to say that I was disappointed with the moisturizing lotion. I got mine in Baby Silk, and it promises to be great for hand, face and body. The ingredients are fantastic with a mostly coconut oil base. I first tried it on my face, and I could feel that my face was not impressed with the new lotion. Now, my skin is semi-sensitive, but I’ve been using a few different lotions lately and none of them have caused any issues. Although I didn’t break out or turn red or anything, I could just feel that my facial skin wasn’t pleased.
I asked the mother dear to give this lotion a try, and she used it on her hands. She agreed with me that it’s a bit on the greasy side, and also that it smells kind of funky. She thinks that she can detect a whiff of baby powder, but to me it just smells like very strong sunscreen. I don’t like the smell at all. It really lingers.
But then the mother dear suggested trying this lotion out on the feet… and it’s awesome for the feet! It felt really nice on my feet. This is my new foot moisturizer. Whee!

I’m curious to try as lots of scents bother my asthma and I have dry, super fussy skin. This might do the trick.

My mom has the roughest feet EVER & I know she’d love some.
I live barefoot in the summer, so, needless to say, my feet do get rough. This lotion would be another good find in my quest to find toxin-free products for body and home!
Moisturizer plays vital role on skin. Most important thing to do before go out is put moisturizer on face. The heat of the sun can make you black and irritation occur upon exposing on the sun directly.
This is a great face moisturizer lotion. It hydrates well on my skin.
