Five Steps for a Simple, Natural Beauty Look
Sometimes all you need for a nice, simple, polished beauty look are a few key ingredients and tricks to enhance your natural beauty. Here are the five steps you need to look beautiful, naturally, today:
1) Start with a clean slate.
Ensure your face is clean of any makeup. Wash it with warm water and natural soap and dry gently with a towel. Next, apply a light, natural facial cream to keep your face smooth and moisturized.
2) Make your skin extra-soft.
One of my all-time favourite products is the Smashbox photo finish foundation primer. You only need a pea-sized dab of this clear lotion to smooth onto your face to get amazingly silky skin! It’s a must for getting a flawless, natural beauty look.
3) Apply eyeliner and mascara to enhance your eyes, not to overwhelm them.
All you need is a thin line on your lower lash to draw the attention to your eyes. I love CoverGirl black onyx eyeliner.
After you have applied the eyeliner, apply several coats of your favourite black mascara to both your upper and lower lashes, making them look long and thick.
4) Draw the eye to your lips with a great lip balm combined with lipstick and / or lip gloss.
Wear lip balm religiously every day to ensure your lips are well-moisturized (I’m obsessed with Burt’s Bees). Next, apply a brown-red lipstick over top of the lip balm, and secure it all in place by adding a coat of pink lip gloss on top. If you’re going for a more shimmery, lighter look, you can skip the lipstick step.
5) File and paint your nails with a clear gloss.
Never cut your fingernails using clippers or scissors – always use a nail file instead! A nail file can ensure you keep the length you like but also get the shape you are after.
Once your nails are filed into the desired shape (rounded or oval is a good look) and the edges are smoothed over, coat your nails in a clear gloss to add an extra shimmer to your natural beauty look.
