Welcome to Real World Wellness! I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and received my diploma from the Alive Academy of Natural Health. I am available for in-person, Skype, and email consultations, as well as for giving presentations (see below for my fees).
Why do you need a nutritionist?
Eating healthy and living a balanced life can be tough. The thousands of products at the grocery store can be dizzying to choose from, and there’s so much conflicting research out there that it’s difficult to determine the right way of eating for you and your lifestyle. That’s where I come in! Together we can figure out the best way to incorporate healthy eating into your everyday life. I can advise you on the nutrients you need for your body, how to handle emotional eating, the foods that are a good source of those nutrients, how to decode food labels, and what you can do to be happier, healthier, and full of energy.
What can I expect at an appointment?
The first general appointment is our opportunity to get to know each other. This is when you’ll tell me what your needs and wants are, and we can explore our options to make healthy eating fun and easier to maintain.
I recommend a minimum of four appointments, spaced no more than two weeks apart. During the three follow-up appointments, we might take a trip to your grocery store together, put together a few sample meal plans, discuss the types of foods and way of eating that will work best for your lifestyle, and other things you can do in your life to live healthier and happier.
I encourage clients to continue with “check-in” appointments after they feel they are on the right track. These check-ins are generally between once every couple weeks to once every month, and they are a great opportunity for us to assess where you’re at, and how we can ensure that you are able to maintain your healthy lifestyle. People and circumstances change, so it’s important to recognize that our healthy living plans are continuously evolving.
Nutrition professionals work to increase knowledge, influence motivations, and guide development of skills required for dietary behavior change.

Instead, at Real World Wellness we look at your individual needs and wants, and work with you to make a plan that’s right for you. Living well doesn’t have to be a fairy tale – it can be your reality, and together we can fit healthy into your busy, real-world lifestyle.
