Favourite Raw Food Recipe Books
Some days I’ll eat raw until dinner, other days I’ll just have one raw food meal or snack, and still more days I won’t end up eating any raw food. But overall, I really enjoy eating raw food and all the health benefits you can get from it! Smoothies and salads are an excellent example of that.
While I often go simple (with the aforementioned green smoothies and salads) when it comes to eating raw food, sometimes I like to expand my repertoire and move into the gourmet raw food area. And that’s when I consult my raw food recipe books!
My two favourite raw food books are:
- The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose. I like this book because Natalia gives great suggestions on how to eat raw depending on where you’re at in your lifestyle, and she also has some interesting ideas for raw food meals and healthier cooked meals alike. If you’re interested in doing a very healthy detox, losing some weight, transitioning to a raw food diet, or learning some fun new recipes, this is a great book for you.
- Eat Raw, Eat Well by Doughlas McNish. The recipes in this book are absolutely amazing! My favourites have included a blueberry scone recipe that you make in the dehydrator, chili cumin almonds, almond biscuits, chocolate walnut brownies, almond cacao bars, and coconut butter vanilla icing. In fact, this book is the reason that I now enjoy the taste of coconut! I’ve bookmarked about 50 recipes in the book that I want to try but haven’t gotten around to yet.
