An easy fix for wilted plants
Fun tip of the day! Did you know that…
Tap water often contains chlorine, which can be damaging to plants?
It’s true! The chlorine in water isn’t the best thing for your house plants, but there’s a simple fix to rescue them if they are started to look a little sad:
Step One: Fill a bucket (or any size of container, depending on how many plants you have and how big they are) with tap water.
Step Two: Let the water sit out on the counter at room temperature for at least 24 hours.
Step Three: Water your plants with the water from that container!
The neat thing about this trick is that the chlorine gets evaporated when the water is left to sit. It’s amazing the difference that it makes in the growth of your plants. I learned this tip earlier this year, thanks to a friend from the Urban Eatin’ Gardeners Coop.

That’s the same reason that I let the water sit in my cat’s bowl and not replace it too often 🙂
