A glass of red wine can be a great accessory! Drinking stylishly goes hand in hand with looking stylish 🙂

A beautiful red wine from Italy, this particular vintage of Citra Montepulciano d’Abruzzo comes in a full litre bottle and amounts to less than $10. There are a few reasons why this wine is what any fashionista should add to her grocery list:

• It’s inexpensive. Any wine that comes to under $10 is a good deal, but usually those wines also suffer from a lack of quality. Not so with this Citra. You are getting a fantastic wine for an amazing price (and it’s in a larger-than-usual bottle, too!).

• It pairs easily with just about anything. Drink this wine on its own, at a wine and cheese party, with a fancy dinner, or even with a simple sandwich. The flavor is robust enough that this wine can be served without food as an easy-drinking beverage, but not so overpowering that it can’t be enjoyed with a hearty meal.

• It isn’t well-known. This can be to your advantage if you bring the wine to a party. Let others bring their harsh Merlots or finnicky Pinot Noirs: bring a new grape to the event that people haven’t tried before to spice things up a little!

• It tastes delightful. This Citra red wine goes down smoothly and is therefore a good choice if you’re new to drinking wine. Montepulciano also lasts a fairly long time without tasting “off.” Whereas some wines won’t last more than a few days without becoming rather pungent, Montepulciano can stay in the fridge for up to a week without any discernible taste difference.
