Day 16 of the Raw Food Challenge
Yesterday, on Day 15 of the Raw Food Challenge, I ate:
– Fruit salad with 1/2 banana, 1/3 apple, 1/3 pear, and some pineapple, along with a digestive enzyme capsule and 1 glass of lemon water with 1/2 scoop calcium/magnesium powder
– Carrot sticks and cucumber slices with 1 mug green tea
– 1 apple with cinnamon and 1 mug green tea
– Salad with romaine lettuce, clover sprouts, tomato, green pepper, and hemp seeds
– Another 2 apples with cinnamon and a mug of green tea
– Lettuce wrap with two leaves of romaine lettuce, crumbled chickpea flatbread, tomato, and clover sprouts, along with a few pieces of pineapple and 1/2 banana with cashew butter, plus a mug of rooibos tea
– A few leaves of romaine lettuce, a few spoonfuls of sprouted lentils (just beginning to sprout! We decided that they taste like fresh peas from the garden. I like them), handful corn chips, and a small amount of squash rice with 1 mug rooibos tea
– A couple pieces of pineapple and 1/3 apple
I’d have a hard time getting by with so little protein, but I think everyone’s different! I’m so impressed that you’re sticking with such a challenging experiment.
Crabby- Yes, everyone IS different! I don’t need TOO too much protein to keep me going. I’m more of a high carbs girl. But too much fat has never been good for my body… it just makes me tired and groggy. I’ve been feeling best on the days when I eat lots of veggies and fruit and not much of the nuts. The lentil sprouts have been an amazing addition, too.
