GoodLife GIVEAWAY: The I Heart Exercise Healthy Heart Challenge
Heart health is important. You can protect against heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and so many other heart and health problems by protecting your heart… and often, that means making lifestyle changes.
That’s why I’m partnering with GoodLife Fitness on their #IHeartExercise Healthy Heart Challenge!
GoodLife Fitness is running this challenge to spread awareness about heart health and provide daily tips for getting fit and protecting your heart.
Did you know that exercise can assist in controlling your blood sugar levels? In fact, aerobic exercise can reduce your blood sugars by 12%.
One of the key ideas behind this challenge is that each of us can be empowered to protect our health. By making small lifestyle changes—everything from reducing the sodium in our diets to enjoying regular exercise—we can vastly improve our heart health.
You can check out all of GoodLife’s daily tips and ideas by joining their Healthy Heart Challenge Facebook event.
Before you begin the Healthy Heart Challenge, remember these tips for safe exercising:
1. Incorporate a warm up, cool down and heart rate monitoring with all activity
2. Exercise at your own safe intensity level
3. Consult a doctor if you have health concerns
4. And above all, have fun!
In addition to providing the daily heart health tips, GoodLife is also generously offering a GIVEAWAY to Living Healthy in the Real World readers! The winner will receive:
- 1 GoodLife Fitness gym bag.
- 3-month GoodLife Fitness membership.
- 1 branded water bottle.

What I love best about exercise is how great I feel afterwards.
Walking for my health
I currently do yoga and I love the results best!
I’m a new facebook fan too! Thanks for the chance!
Im all about being WALKER MCGEE as it’s a life long endeavor.
Yes yes! Possibly my favorite 🙂
I love hot yoga and biking in the summer. But in terms of specific programs, I love the Body Pump class at Goodlife fitness and used to go a few times a week back when I had a membership.
Ooh, nice mix!
Other than heart health, what I love best about exercise is that it keeps my bones strong. As a woman, it’s so important to keep bone density up so that in older age we won’t have osteoporosis or fractures. And hey, working out means I’m less apprehensive of bikini season.

Great point! Bone health is so important.
Yoga, helps with my mood, balance, and energy level.
And such a nice way to start or end the day!
I love how exercise is good for me and makes me healthier. I don’t really enjoy the actual exercising lol
Maybe you just haven’t found quite the right exercise for you? 😉
(And yes – SO GOOD afterwards, right?!)

Cross country skiing…especially when it is FREEZING COLD outside. The quiet of the forest (Bird’s Hill Park), the “squeak” of the snow, and the cold air into the lungs…once you get warmed up and get the rhythm of “kick & glide”, there is no other exhilaration. (Heated car seats on the way home are the best part of “after ski”)
