Where have I been this week? Somehow it’s Friday and I haven’t posted once!
The big issue here is that our Internet has gone bonkers (to use the technical term ;)). I’m not sure if it’s because Mr. Science and I have a desktop computer and two laptops between us which are running just about 24/7, or if it’s because we moved a big bookcase in between our two work stations, or if the Internet is just messing with me, but it keeps going on and off every five minutes. Rather frustrating, especially since I work from home half the time and need the Internet for my work. Ah well! I’m hoping we can sort it out this weekend.
At any rate, the bothersome Internet has meant that I haven’t wanted to write a blog post, just because it’s more trouble than it’s worth. Whenever the Internet has been working, I’ve been taking advantage of that time to use it for work-related items. Such as Fruit Share – my contract with them (such a fun experience!) ended yesterday, so there was a whole lot of wrapping up to do this week.
As frustrating as it’s been, it hasn’t been all bad. With the Internet being so temperamental, most of the time I’ve just given up on it. Which has led to me starting work on my novel again. It’s been quite nice to not be using the Internet in my spare time and to do other things that I’ve always enjoyed but which had somehow fallen by the wayside! I hadn’t worked on that little novella in months. About time I pulled it out.
