What I ate on Friday and Saturday

On Friday I ate:

– 6 green shakes (water, greens powder, frozen banana, and organic tofu).

– Big oat cake (local oats, vanilla protein powder, banana, cinnamon, and a little water all mashed together and formed into a “cake”).

– Dinner with the boyfriend: Brown rice pasta with roasted red pepper tomato sauce and parmesan cheese, plus several slices garlic toast (we buy crusty buns, slice them in half, smear them with Earth Balance and dust them with garlic powder, and then bake them in the oven. So good! Especially with a bit of extra pasta sauce spooned over top) and a glass of red wine.

I don’t often make pasta at my house, and I never have garlic toast at my house, so pretty much every weekend we make pasta and garlic toast. Yummy!

On Saturday I ate:

– 5 green shakes.

– 1 apple with 5 tbsp PB2.

– 2 tbsp PB2 mixed with a little chocolate protein powder.

– A double oat cake.

– Dinner with the boyfriend: 1 fajita with chicken, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and salsa (these were super tasty – the boyfriend makes the best marinades), plus 1 glass red wine.

wine in goblets

Aren't those the prettiest wine goblets? Love them!

As the weeks go on, I’ll keep you all posted on the types of raw food that I eat. Lately I’ve been really enjoying the green smoothies and oat cakes, as evidenced by the copious amounts of them I’ve been having this past week! So it’ll be interesting to see what foods become staples as I keep going with raw food. I’m really enjoying it so far 🙂
